For several years Xanadu Gallery has published RedDotBlog.com as a resource for artists and art marketing professionals. The blog is a medium for us to share what we have learned (and continue to learn) in the art business. I feel that a big part of the success of the blog has been the great interaction we get with our audience in the comments on our posts. Often the comments are more insightful than the original post.
Recently we started a new series of posts called Collective Wisdom that draws upon that community to tackle issues important to artists. The idea was that we could start a topic and draw upon the vast experience of our readers to illuminate the topics.
The conversation has been great and you can always hop on reddotblog.com to keep on top of the latest discussions.
While the blog is a great place to read and interact, it isn’t always the most conducive medium for reading through long text. We felt it would be helpful to compile the posts in electronic format that would be easy to read on an tablet, computer, mobile phone or eReader: hence this publication.
Please note the comments are shared here in their original form and express the opinions of their authors. We have not edited for spelling, grammar or content – but, hey, that’s what keeps it authentic.
