Success Story: Gallery Representation

by Jason Horejs on August 2, 2012 · 1 comment

I recently received the following email from a “Starving” to Successful reader – names have been redacted to protect the innocent:

Dear Jason,

I just wanted to write and say a giant thank you, thank you, thank you!

This past weekend I headed out on a road trip from my home in St. Catharines, Ontario (not far from Niagara Falls) to St. Charles, Missouri (a 14 hour drive!) to deliver 3 large works to _______ where they are to be displayed along with the other finalists of a competition.

At first when I learned of my acceptance I was just going to ship that work, but after a re-think I decided that it would be a great opportunity to stop by some other galleries and see if I could get some representation, just as you suggested in your books. Well that is exactly what I did and, good news, my work is now being displayed in a beautiful gallery in Ohio[...]!

Not only that, but I wanted to tell you that as I was in the gallery with my portfolio and five of my smaller pieces, it was as if a small version of you was on my shoulder telling me things like – okay, now SHUT UP!, and SMILE!

Anyway, with being able to say that I was a Xanadu Gallery Studio Artist, coupled with what I learned from your books, I gained a tremendous amount of great tips and insights, but more than that I gained confidence, and I just tell you how very grateful I am. I finally feel that my art career has wings!

All the very best.
With a smile,
A

Way to go! Send me your success stories by emailing me. And, of course, my book is available at www.xanadugallery.com/book.

Isn’t Jason your real name? Or maybe you are guilty – of being a great help to artists. Thanks for your work.
